Creating a dry, inviting firepit area on a sloped yard
After wanting to bring more life and functionality to the backyard, this homeowner decided a dedicated firepit area would be the perfect gathering spot. Razor Sharp Lawn & Landscape designed and installed a custom paver patio with a built-in firepit, transforming an underused section of the yard into a comfortable space for relaxing and entertaining.
The planned firepit location had a negative slope, which would have caused water to pool on the patio if left uncorrected. We performed slight regrading to adjust drainage and ensure proper water runoff away from the firepit area. After excavation, we installed a solid 6" base to support the patio and laid Belgard Dublin Cobble pavers for a classic, textured look. Polymeric sand was used in the joints to lock the pavers in place and prevent shifting. Once construction was complete, all disturbed areas were resodded to leave the yard looking clean and finished.
