Replacing a rotted timber wall in a tight-access HOA property

After the original timber retaining wall began rotting and failing, this homeowner needed a stronger solution that would hold the slope safely and meet HOA standards within the community. Razor Sharp Lawn & Landscape removed the deteriorating wood wall and installed a reinforced Keystone retaining wall system designed for long-term durability, improved drainage, and a much cleaner appearance.

This project required working in a tight-access area between homes, which meant excavation and material placement had to be handled carefully to avoid disturbing nearby structures and utilities. We removed the failing 6x6 timber retaining wall and excavated the area to prepare for a new reinforced retaining wall system. Once the Keystone wall blocks were installed, we backfilled and regraded the slope to restore proper drainage and improve stability. The project was completed with fresh sod installation in all disturbed areas, leaving the property with a clean and finished appearance.
