After the existing tiered timber retaining wall began deteriorating and losing structural integrity, this Hamilton Mill homeowner needed a more durable solution that would properly support the slope and improve the overall appearance of the backyard. Razor Sharp Lawn & Landscape carefully excavated and removed the rotted wood retaining wall before installing a new Keystone retaining wall system in Harvest Blend, complete with backfilling, grading, and new sod installation to restore the property with a cleaner and longer-lasting finished result.
This Hamilton Mill retaining wall project involved carefully excavating and removing an existing tiered timber retaining wall that had begun deteriorating from age and moisture exposure. Because the wall system stepped across multiple elevations, the excavation and rebuilding process required close attention to grading and wall alignment to ensure the new installation would properly support the slope long-term. Once the old wall was removed, we installed a new Keystone retaining wall in Harvest Blend to provide improved durability, better structural support, and a cleaner finished appearance. After the wall installation was complete, the area was backfilled and regraded to restore proper elevations and improve drainage throughout the yard. The project was finished with fresh sod installation in all disturbed areas, leaving the landscape with a clean and fully restored appearance.
