A durable raised patio upgrade
Creating a safe, level patio on a steeply sloped yard
After noticing a steep drop-off outside the carport, this homeowner needed a safe and level outdoor space that wouldn’t shift or settle over time. Razor Sharp Lawn & Landscape installed a reinforced retaining wall to support the new grade and stabilize the entire area. To finish the transformation, we built a raised paver patio that ties directly into the home, creating a functional and attractive outdoor living space.
Working with more than four feet of elevation change required careful excavation and a durable retaining system. We constructed a 4' Belgard Diamond Pro retaining wall and backfilled the structure with 57 stone, providing long-term stability and proper drainage. Once the wall was in place, we installed a Belgard Origins 12 Cheswick paver patio and added matching stone steps leading down to the yard. The project was completed with fresh grading and Bermuda sod installation, creating a clean transition between the new patio and the surrounding landscape.
